The 2020 pandemic led to many individuals feeling the isolation associated with social distancing.  Those living in facilities, primarily older adults, were particularly impacted by the lockdown imposed by the virus.  Our consultants, likewise, necessarily curbed their social interaction.  Under the leadership of Liz Weaver, IFCA consultant, and her sister, GracieLee Weaver, our team matched consultants with residents at Chatham Ridge Assisted Living in Chapel Hill, NC.  The pairs became pen pals, sharing their interests and thoughts during a trying time.  This meaningful program allowed for continued growth in self-discovery and the opportunity for our consultants to further educate and give back to the community.  Thank you to Chatham Ridge Assisted Living and their Activity Director, Caroline Lass.
